Before the era of digitization, painting was a way to perpetuate a scene, portray someone’s beauty or to immortalize a site. Moreover, it was considered as a sign of ‘worship’ because it comprises the act of creativity in it.

Undoubtedly, painting is a major part of art. It works as an exclusive language. A canvas works as a medium through which we can express without having to speak.

First and foremost, painting, to me, is therapy. It provides me with mental rest. Painting, not only enhances my mood, but also generates happiness and relaxes my anxieties. Holding a brush in my hand gives me the essence of potential. The variety of colors that are in front of me gives me the sense of the countless opportunities this world has to offer.

Secondly, the empty canvas gives me the impression of the whole life I have in front of me. Along with that, it helps me identify myself and to express my capabilities. Besides, I believe that choosing the colors also helps me strengthen the power of decisiveness. Also, especially, it helps me boost my imagination and think of things that are seemingly impossible.

Thirdly, I feel that painting provides me with pleasurable visualization and relaxation. It enhances my emotional and spiritual abilities as well. When I sit to paint, without a doubt, I feel like I am in another dimension; a dimension where nothing else matters. Its just me, the colors, a brush, and an empty canvas. It feels like as if the canvas is speaking to me. In spite of the canvas being empty, it utters a whole lot to me.

Altogether, sitting in front of a canvas, makes me believe that there is whole lot of chances in life. The colors give me the sense of choices. The brushes give me the certainty of potential. When I paint, it absolutely gives me a sense of beauty. Last but not the least, painting is a part of me.
